An Unforgettable Wutai Retreat
Mount Wutai was an experience of a lifetime. The culture, food, nature and temple exploration were outstanding. My guides took care of every step and made sure I always felt at home. I really enjoyed learning about tea, print making and some of the healing arts. This was very personal as well, with chanting with the monks at sunrise and being able to learn more about the Buddhist way. I highly recommend a trip with this company. I have memories that will forever be in my heart.

A great Taichi retreat, very well-organised, good guide, really worth it. Highly recommend!
I recently had the opportunity to attend a 5-day Wudang Wellness Retreat, led by China Explorer Tour founders, Winnie and Lesley. The retreat clearly demonstrated their commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. The efficient booking process was facilitated by Winnie’s prompt, informative responses. The comprehensive program included an introduction to Tai Chi, Qigong, and swordsmanship, Taoist philosophy, and meditation processes. Held at a picturesque guesthouse with breathtaking views of Wudang mountain, the retreat featured outstanding cuisines, and everyone whom I encountered was friendly and helpful. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Master Gu, Teacher Weipu, Teacher Liu, and especially to Winnie and Lesley for their amazing photography skills! This has been an unforgettable experience, and I look forward in booking another tour with this company again. If you are thinking of booking this tour, just do it. You won’t regret it!

A Fantastic Experience with China Explorer Tour – Thank You for an Amazing Trip!
Really can't recommend these guys enough. Been in China 9 years and know my way around really well, but thanks to Lesley and Winnie, I just had one of the best/most fulfilling travel experiences not only of my time in China, but of my whole life--TaiChi retreat at Wudang Mountain. Really appreciated how available the people at China Explorer Tour were to communicate leading up to and during the trip. On the ground, everything was smooth as glass. Great price. Fantastic service. Once in a lifetime in experience (or twice, because I'm definitely coming back for that Wutai Mountain Retreat at the end of June!).

Finding Balance in the Wudang Mountains
I joined the Wudang Tai Chi retreat in China this winter, and it was truly magical. The mountains were covered in mist and snow, and every morning practice felt like stepping into a living painting.
As a beginner, I was nervous at first, but the masters were patient and kind, guiding me step by step. The rhythm of the retreat — Tai Chi at dawn, temple visits during the day, meditation in the evening — gave me a sense of balance I had never felt before.
Winter made the experience even more special: quiet temples, crisp air, and the serenity of practicing in silence while snowflakes fell around us. It was both grounding and unforgettable.
This retreat gave me not only skills in Tai Chi, but also peace of mind I brought back to France with me. I can’t imagine a more authentic way to experience China’s spiritual heart.
