After checking in, take the rest of the day to rest and adjust to the new surroundings. Enjoy a leisurely evening at your hotel or explore the local area at your own pace. Get ready for the exciting adventures ahead!
After a hearty breakfast, set off to explore one of Xinjiang's most stunning natural wonders – Heavenly Lake (Tianchi). Surrounded by the towering peaks of the Tianshan Mountains, this sparkling turquoise lake is a true paradise.
You’ll take a scenic shuttle ride through lush pine forests, and then have the option to walk or take a cart to the lakeside.
Choose from an exciting range of activities: a tranquil boat cruise across the lake, a lakeside trek for a closer look at the stunning scenery, or a cable car ride up to Maya Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views of the entire area.
Afterward, continue your journey to Fuhai County for an overnight stay, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s highlights.
Today, travel to the enchanting Hemu Village, a serene, off-the-beaten-path destination nestled deep in the mountains.
After a local breakfast in Beitun, journey through lush landscapes to reach this peaceful village, where the rhythm of daily life is set by the grazing cattle and sheep. Known for its stunning natural beauty, Hemu offers a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the Tuwa people, one of the last remaining nomadic groups in the region.
Spend time with the friendly villagers, explore their charming wooden houses, and learn about their customs, traditions, and close connection to nature. Enjoy an overnight stay in this idyllic village.
Prepare for a day of scenic drives through the heart of Kanas Nature Reserve, often referred to as the "Pure Land of the World" due to its untouched natural beauty.
As you drive through dramatic mountain roads, stop at Kanas Lake, a mesmerizing sight with its crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding snow-capped peaks.
After taking in the lake’s beauty, board a shuttle bus to explore the Reserve, including a visit to the Fish Pavilion, where you can capture spectacular views of the lake and surrounding forests. The day ends with a relaxing stay in Jiadengyu, where you can unwind and appreciate the tranquility of the area.
On this day, head to Burqin to witness one of Xinjiang’s most surreal landscapes: the Five-Colored Beach. This natural wonder features vibrant layers of purple, red, yellow, and green sands formed by lava flows, erosion, and time. As the sunlight dances across the landscape, you’ll see how the colors shift and change, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. After this natural masterpiece, continue to Urho Ghost City, also known as the “Wind City.” The wind-eroded rock formations here are otherworldly, and the constant howling wind adds to the eerie, yet captivating, atmosphere. Don’t miss the stunning sunset over the ghostly landscape before you settle in for an overnight stay in Urho Town.
This morning, set off for Dushanzi Grand Canyon, a geological marvel hidden in plain sight. The canyon, carved by snowmelt and rainfall from the Tianshan Mountains, features unusual rock formations that resemble bamboo poles, adding a mystical allure to this natural wonder. After taking in the breathtaking views, enjoy a scenic drive through expansive cotton fields, especially vibrant during harvest season, before continuing to Jinghe for an overnight stay.
Today, visit Sayram Lake, often called the "last drop of tears of the Atlantic," due to its crystal-clear waters and striking beauty. Nestled between mountains and vast grasslands, this stunning lake is perfect for a peaceful stroll along the shore, where wildflowers bloom in the summer months, and the air is crisp and fresh. After soaking in the tranquility, continue your journey to Guozigou Bridge, the largest and most significant bridge in Xinjiang, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. In the evening, arrive in Yining for a restful overnight stay.
Travel to the Kalajun Prairie, a breathtaking landscape of grasslands, lakes, and blooming wildflowers.
From May to September, the prairie is alive with cultural activities as nomadic herders trade and celebrate their heritage. The picturesque rolling hills and scattered springs create a peaceful and poetic setting.
Kalajun, meaning "dark wilderness" in Kazakh, offers a fascinating glimpse into the nomadic way of life, and you'll have the chance to meet local herders and experience their traditional customs.
After a day of exploration, head to Tekes for a cozy overnight stay.
