Both parties—the traveler and China Explorer Tour, operated by GlobeTrotter Travel Limited—have the option to mutually agree upon changes to the terms set out in the Confirmation Letter. Any amendments must be made in writing and signed by both parties, or agreed upon in any other confirmed form. The party requesting the revision is responsible for any additional costs and losses incurred due to the changes. If the overall cost is reduced, we will refund the reduced amount, provided all conditions are met.

Please note that any changes are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in our “Terms and Conditions,” which may be updated periodically.

Changes Initiated by You

Before your booking is confirmed, alterations to your tour or travel services are processed free of charge, as our goal is to provide the best possible tour experience. However, once the tour or travel service is confirmed, changes cannot always be guaranteed. If changes are possible, we will charge for any additional costs incurred, including the cost of new services, and any cancellation charges for services that are cancelled as a result of the change.

We strive to accommodate any changes to your arrangements once they have commenced, but this cannot be guaranteed. If such amendments are made, you will be responsible for any cancellation charges for the originally booked services and the costs involved in arranging the new services.

Changes Initiated by Us

We reserve the right to make changes to confirmed tours or services. Most changes will be minor, and we will inform you in writing if any are necessary. No compensation is offered for minor changes.

In cases of Force Majeure or unexpected events beyond our control, significant changes may be necessary. We will notify you as soon as possible and provide alternative arrangements or a substitute package. If you choose not to accept these alternatives, we will refund any payments that are refundable according to our cancellation policy. No further compensation will be provided.

Cancellation by You

You may cancel your booking at any time prior to departure by submitting your cancellation in writing via email or fax, signed by you. Cancellation fees, calculated as a percentage of the total cost, are dependent on when the notification is acknowledged by us and the type of tour/service:

  • More than 30 days before departure: 10% of total cost
  • 30-15 days before departure: 100% of total cost

Cancellation by Us

If we are prevented from performing your confirmed arrangements due to Force Majeure or unexpected events, we may need to cancel your booking. We will notify you as soon as possible and refund any refundable monies, excluding any previously incurred costs and service charges. We will not be liable for further compensation or any additional costs or expenses you may incur. Where possible, we will offer alternative arrangements which you may choose instead of a cancellation.

We also reserve the right to cancel your booking if you fail to comply with our payment terms.
